Well, I did it! I got my nose pierced! As I said, its not like I think life will end once I hit 30, but of course I will become much more mature :)! Right? My sophomore year in college I got my nose pierced, and I really liked it! But for some reason, I was really nervous about it this time around. It didn’t hurt at all, but I guess I am SO much older now, that I know longer feel invincible. That is likely because I am SO much more mature, and in 13 months from now, I will be even MORE mature. (Hey, let me keep thinking that!)
My friend Lauren Pupillo was in Colorado this past weekend, and I convinced her that she ALSO needed to get her nose pierced, so here we are, with matching noses!!! Thanks Lauren, its ALWAYS good to see you!
I have also decided that I am going to modify my list just a bit! I decided there is NO way I want read a 500 page book in 1 sitting, so instead, I have a list of “40 books I won’t want to put down”, and decided I will work my way through that list over the next year.
The Road, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Harry Potter (Instead of Harry Potter I am going to read the Twilight books), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The DaVinci Code, The Glass Castle, The Hunger Games, The Catcher in the Rye, The Kite Runner, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, The Help, Ender’s Game, City of Bones, Storm Front, Siddhartha, The Wanderer’s Necklace, The Hobbit, Bossypants, The Leftovers, Catch-22, You Shall Know our Velocity, I Love Everybody, Explosive Eighteen, Me Talk Pretty One Day, The Book Thief, Halfway to the Grave, Are you there God – It’s me Margaret, The Princess Bride, The Thin Man, The man Who Planted Trees, Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl, The Crying of Lot 49, Prey, High Fidelity, Deerskin, Dead Until Dark, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Deadly Sins, Angus Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging, and finally Murder on Astor Place!
I may skip some of these books and choose something else, if they just don’t seem like the type of book I would read, but I am going to try and stick with this list! They are the most popular books according to some list somewhere…whatever that means!

Woohoo!!! 1 step at a time and you’ll have that whole list marked off. I think it’s SO fun having goals for the year. It’s makes the year exciting! I think you look so natural with a nose ring (that’s why I hardly noticed it sunday!). I LOVE, LOVE it!!!!
